This amble recreates the trail’s chapter in @Wild DFW: Explore the Amazing Nature Around Dallas-Fort Worth (Timber Press). The hike, one of the book’s 25 adventure narratives, was taken in spring with Kristi Kerr Leonard and Eileen McKee, the Fritzs’ daughter, to experience the Texas buckeye blooms.
