If things go according to plan, this week a professional naturalist-led landscape company will re-cut the privet in Eileen’s Glen and a city arborist will treat them to prevent re-sprouting. So exciting!
Our Saturday efforts will focus on getting the trail ready for the Yellow Fall Foliage Walk on Nov. 8 Sat.
<> Cutting random new privets on the walk up to Eileen’s Glen and re-marking buckeyes.
<> Cutting privet and fallen limbs around Ned the elder bur oak at the end of the Buckeye Loop. He lost the top third in a 2024 spring windstorm, yet is reborn and flush with foliage.
