His love of nature defined him.
It was contagious.
Everyone who walked with him in the woods
became a nature advocate.

Memorial Service for Genie Fritz

January 11 Saturday — 1 to 3 pm

First Unitarian of Dallas
4015 Normandy Ave, Dallas, TX 75205
on Preston, 1 block north of Mockingbird

Our beloved Genie Fritz, widow of Ned Fritz, passed away at the age of 100 in early December. In additional to enabling Ned in his many environmental endeavors, Genie enjoyed life as a mother of four daughters and as a volunteer civic leader with leadership roles in the Girl Scouts, League of Women Voters, Greater Dallas Housing Opportunity Center, Women’s Southwest Federal Credit Union, and First Unitarian Church of Dallas. She and Ned co-founded two of the state’s most important nature defender nonprofits: Texas Conservation Alliance and Texas Land Conservancy. She received many awards for her work.

Celebrate her amazing life with her extended family and her many friends and admirers. Expect lots of tributes and testimonials, songs and poems, in the church where she was a valued member for 78 years.

Genie Fritz — intensely appreciated and never to be forgotten.
